Route: Printable Topographic Maps The trail ascends up through guava and bamboo groves and is lined by ginger. At approximately 0.5 miles, the trail comes to the top of Mt. Tantalus, where there is a Hawaiian Telephone service road. Proceed mauka (right) on this road until you reach the end. The trail begins again behind the left side of the light green building. Continue down through the bamboo forest until the trail ends at an intersection with Manoa Cliff Trail.
Directions: Head up Tantalus Drive until you reach the very top of the Drive (past Nahuina and Kalawahine Trailheads). Pu`u Ohia Trail will be on your left (mauka) side. Park in the parking area across the street from the trailhead on the makai (ocean) side of Tantalus Drive. .

Special pig control hunt in progress on this trail. Hunting with hunting dogs will take place Wednesdays and Sundays from sun-up to sundown on this trail. Hikers with pet dogs should consider using other trails during control hunt period to avoid possible encounters with hunting dogs.

Trail Information: If you choose to continue left on Manoa Cliff Trail, you will reach a system trail map after about 0.2 miles. Mountain Biking is not allowed on this trail. Stay on the trail. Keep dogs on leash. Pack out at least what you pack in. No open fires.
